Registration
Appearing on searches
Pay Rates
Receiving Job Offers
Accepting Offers
Declining Offers
Completing Timesheets & locum performance review forms
Keeping paperwork updated
Speaking to a person
Once you have completed the online registration we complete your registration in the same way as a traditional agency. We must complete registrations in line with both the NHS Executive code of conduct and the terms and conditions of the NHS PaSA contract for the supply of medical locums.
This includes;
● confirming your right to work ● confirming your occupational health status
● taking up your references ● confirming your previous work history
● confirming your qualifications ● undertaking an enhanced CRB disclosure
Once we have received the necessary paperwork from you and completed your registration we will upload your details onto our secure client server.
You can edit your personal profile at any time by logging onto locumpages, so if you need to update your availability or update your cv you can do so.
You only appear on searches conducted by hospitals when the job entered by them matches your availability. By this we mean positions that are of the same grade, specialty and sub specialty as those you have stated you are available to undertake, as well as your availability matching that of the job entered by the hospital.
At this stage your information will be presented to the hospital in an anonymous format, with no names, contact details, referee details or GMC numbers on view.
The hospital can view anonymous versions of your;
● CV (with your personal details and current employer name removed)
● Occupational Health status (with your personal details blanked out)
● References (with your name, referees name and employer details blanked out)
● Copies of background checks undertaken by us (with personal details blanked out)
You set your rate of pay. We provide guidelines, however they are just that. You need to enter your hourly rate of pay for both standard hours and on-call hours. When a trust enters a job and is presented with a list of available doctors, the list is presented in order of cost, with the lowest priced doctors shown at the top of the list.
Hospitals can create a shortlist of suitable candidates from the information provided above. When you are short listed you will receive an e-mail with the full details of the job. We also send you a text to let you know that you have an offer waiting in your inbox.
If you choose to accept the offer the hospital will be able to view your information as before but with your name, current post, referee details and GMC numbers on view.
The Hospital can then confirm the booking, which will generate a confirmation of booking which will be e-mailed to you (again, with a text to let you know). All you need to do is click the confirm link at the bottom of the confirmation and the booking is made.
Hospitals can shortlist and offer up to 3 doctors for a post, it is therefore important that that you respond quickly, to ensure that you get the locum you want.
If you receive an offer that isn’t suitable, all you have to do is click on the decline button at the bottom of the offer. The hospital is then informed. Hospitals are not able to identify you unless you accept a conditional offer.
TIMESHEETS & LOCUM PERFORMANCE REVIEW FORMS
Timesheets and locum performance review forms can be completed online. You will automatically be sent reminders if these have not been completed. Some hospitals insist on paper copy timesheets and if this is the case they will be posted out to you. Completed copies of timesheets and locum performance review forms can be downloaded by you from your main home page.
Once you have completed your registration, you will receive e-mail reminders for any documents that require updating periodically, such as GMC certificates. The reminders are sent out 1 month before the document expires, ensuring that your paperwork remains up to date at all times.
If you have any questions regarding the service or if you need to speak to a person about an offer you have received or have any queries regarding a booking you can speak to an experienced locum co-coordinator at any time by calling us on 0845 370 0195 or from outside the UK 0044 1604 605 999.

Will everyone be able to see my details on the net?
No. Your details will be anonymous on our website. Your CV and pre-employment checks will only be viewed by members of staff in the hospital who make the employment decision and employees of MedSol Healthcare who undertake the necessary employment checks. Upon registering with the site you will be automatically allocated with a unique reference number. All your personal details will be automatically extracted at point of registration. The only time we release your name to the hospital is once you have accepted the conditional Offer to undertake a locum. If you decline the offer we don’t release your details to the trust.
How secure are my details?
As we mentioned before, your viewable details are anonymous. However, we have control over the documents seen by Medical Staffing departments and every locum is vetted and fully registered by MedSol Healthcare before going live on the site. Your details do not get automatically uploaded, they come through to our admin team. We have a secure server that stores your information which is not linked to the site. We are also registered and abide by the rules of the Data Protection Act 1998.
How do I get paid?
Locumpages is run by MedSol Healthcare and we run our own payroll system. During the registration procedure you will be asked for your banking information which will be held on our secure web server. Once you have submitted the timesheets you will automatically be paid, whether you are working through our PAYE scheme or your own Ltd Company. The deadline for submitting timesheets is 5pm every Tuesday; this ensures that you will be paid by Friday of the same week. If there are any errors with the timesheet we will get in touch directly with you by phone.
How do you differ from another agency?
We do not have a jobs board where by you can search for a job yourself. We have turned this around so that once a hospital has uploaded a locum post, a list of doctors that match the job are automatically displayed. They can then undertake the searches themselves. The hospital can view your anonymous details from the moment they upload a job. As a locum you will be notified of firm Job offers, so every time you receive a text or an email from us you will be expected to log onto the site and accept or decline the post as quickly as possible. We do not call to put you forward as the hospital has access to our database of doctors. You can change any of your registration parameters and accept and decline your locum posts 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
Can I speak to someone or is it all automated?
"Of course you can," just dial 0845 3700 195 and a member of our team will be happy to help between the hours of 8:30am and 6pm. We offer an on-call service to locums who are currently booked out on locum posts, so that there is a member of the team available 24 hours a day to sort out any issues that may have arisen.
