With Locumpages.com you have control over your hourly charge rate.  The hourly rate you enter should be appropriate to your grade, skills and level of experience.

We will soon have a payrate barometer that will show you the rates being charged by other doctors in your grade and specialty, enabling you to set your charge rate at a competitive level.

It is worth bearing in mind that hospitals are able to sort the list of available doctors by hourly charge rate and with the current financial climate within the NHS, cost is a key priority to trusts.

In the meantime we are providing you with guide rates, however the rate  you wish to charge is ultimately down to you.

If you have a pre-booked period of availability that you wish to fill with a locum, it is worth considering lowering your charge rate if you have not received an offer from a hospital within a week or two of your dates.

It is worth considering reducing your charge rate for on-call hours, as many trusts view doctors with lower on-call charges favourably.
